It's very hard to explain to an excited 4 year old that 6 feet is the socially accepted distance these days when passing strangers. Especially difficult if the space available for passing oncoming strangers is only about 4 feet.
Having seen fear and hatred on strangers faces, having been yelled at (it's the mother who gets yelled at) for my son running past someone at a distance of less than 4 feet (outside in the park) I would like to mitigate this fear a bit by showing how the actual distance from his mouth to theirs most likely still meets the requirements - plus he is moving at lightning speed (3 second rule must apply to SARS-CoV 2). Please cut me some slack: I know how scary kids can be, but at least you don't have to live with them.
